i would its basically designed for xc on deep snow, specifically the idida bike ( long epice xc snow race in alaska) i think its a really cool bike 
kinda an odd way to build this frame, whats the ride like?

yes, and not sure on bars but they are definately cut big time 
ya its a small, but big as in lots of travel and heavy built, but still weighs in fairly decent.
